SUMMARY:Once a Catholic
DESCRIPTION:The Play Group are delighted to present this hysterical comedy by Mary O’Malley.  Set in a convent school in 1950s London\,  we meet 3 girls (all named Mary) from Form 5A \, as they prepare to sit their O Levels. Under the watchful eyes of the nuns who teach them\, their academic year is peppered with religious lecturing; secret meetings with boys -both suitable and not so suitable; school treats (Mother Basil’s lovely fillum show) and many opportunities to share what they know about the world beyond their cloistered Catholic existence.\nBased on the true life experiences of the writer\, this award winning play is guaranteed to make you laugh\, gasp and grin. Contains adult themes and strong language. Recommended for ages 16+
