This summer, here at the Melville we were really pleased to be successful in our application  to the Arts Council for Wales for Cultural Recovery funding.
We’ve done marvels with it:  been able to re-decorate the main corridor,  & the loos, thank goodness, we’ve re carpeted everywhere and installed the drama library in the built in  Victorian shelving in Meeting Room2.
We’ve also had help  to totally reorganise the props sheds, so much so that we were able to send a ‘sea set’, complete with lobster pots, anchors, nets, down to the WMC last week   for the schools’ ‘Powerful Interventions’ pop ups at the Festival of Voice – a great line up this weekend. Here’s the link:
and here’s the van setting of with Stuart Bawler,  Georgina Miles, – set designer from GYPT days,  and Jane who’s working with  the South Wales schools too.
Big thankyous to the Art Council for Wales, again!!
