In the Loire Valley in 1885, celebrated gourmet Dodin lives on an idyllic estate alongside Eugénie, his cook and cooking collaborator of over 20 years. Normally, Dodin devises the dishes while Eugénie executes them to perfection and when she finally allows him to cook for her, their carefully calibrated relationship takes an unexpected turn.

Adapted from the novel by Marcel Rouff, this is a story about love and food, emotional connection and shared obsession. With lavish scenes of food preparation that are sensual, detailed and moving, The Taste of Things is a tender and romantic true visual feast.

French language with English subtitles.

The film will be screened without an intermission.
