We are always delighted to welcome her back, as she continues to make her distinctive mark on today’s music scene. Her compelling original compositions are written with her husband, double bassist Andy Champion. This promises to be a highly enjoyable and not-to-be-missed event. Set in a convent school in 1950s London, we meet 3 girls (all named Mary) from Form 5A , as they prepare to sit their O Levels. Under the watchful eyes of the nuns who teach them, their academic year is peppered with religious lecturing; secret meetings with boys -both suitable and not so suitable; school treats (Mother Basil's lovely fillum show) and many opportunities to share what they know about the world beyond their cloistered Catholic existence. The group have developed this original work together over the past three months, through an exciting creative process, facilitated by Liz Pearce.
