The maximum number for the workshop is 8 participants. You will have the fabulous opportunity to also view The Community Shawl in person, and find out more about its history. The workshop will run for 2 hours, from 2pm to 4pm. You are very welcome to bring a favourite button, shell or other treasured object, including a scrap of fabric, to include in your rosette. We will take some photos of your creations at the end, and then you can take home your rosette, to wear, to display, or to gift to someone you love. To book, please email Emma at communityshawlproject@gmail.com

And also by our friends in Boston, Massachusetts who founded the Story Slam in the City of Newton and regularly attract an audience in the hundreds.

Volunteers from the audience share true stories about themselves, their friends, families (pretty much anything) that can be funny, uplifting, sad or touching.
Often you will find that a story inspires you to tell your own and you can submit your name at any point in the evening.
The rules are….
You get FIVE minutes (and no more)
Notes are allowed (but it’s much better without)
Enjoy yourself (The great thing about story telling is that the crowd will ALWAYS be with you)
